A body of mass 4kg is subjected to a constant force f as a result of which its speed changes from 3m/s to 7m/s in a duration of 2 sec. the direction of motion of the body is not changing during its coarse of motion. change of magnitude of its momentum is

Firstly,

The rate of change of its momemtum is = Final momemtum -initial momemtum/Time taken

Final momemtum = Mass * Final velocity

= 4 * 7 = 28 kg m/s

Initial Momemtum = Mass * initial velocity

= 4 * 3 = 12 kg m/s

Therefore The change of magnitude of its momemtum is = Final momemtum -initial momemtum

= 28 - 12 =16 kg m/s

Change of momemtum is 12 N
