In the series of Commonwealth Games also known as CWG, Commonwealth Games 2022 was organized from 28th July 2022 to 8th August 2022 in Birmingham, England. The opening ceremonies of Commonwealth Games 2022 were held at Alexander Stadium, Birmingham on 28th July 2022 which aimed to showcase the "vivid and vibrant confidence" of Birmingham as stated by Director of CWG Iqbal Khan. Commonwealth Games 2022 was the largest ever held Commonwealth Games in which 5054 Athletes from 72 Commonwealth Nations were participated and 1.2 million tickets sold.

Commonwealth Games also known as CWG is the second largest sports competition in the world after Olympics. It is held once in four years but only in between the Olympic years. Started in 1930, CWG was initially known by various names such as the British Empire Games, Friendly Games and British Commonwealth Games.
