The transfer of heat from a hot object to a less hot object when they are in contact is called conduction
Conduction takes place in various step-
1) When an object is heated , it's molecules recieves the heat
2)Then it vibrating fast and this vibration induces other molecules to vibrate faster too. Thus, heat is transferred from one end of object to another.
