Answer: In Viviparous animals the embryonic development takes place inside the body of the mother. Therefore, X can be any Viviparous animal such as Human, chimpanzee, giraffe, cow etc.

  • Unlike oviparous and ovoviviparous animals, no eggs are hatched in the case of viviparous animals. The fertilisation as well as embryonic development takes place inside the mother's body itself. Most of the mammals exhibit viviparous method of reproduction. The presence of placenta is another distinguishing feature of viviparous animals. The duck billed platypus is the only mammal that doesn't exhibits viviparous way of reproduction.
