From one quantum physicists to the other, here's a question. I am very curios about this. What'll happen if I bombard atoms of, say hydrogen with photon particles? Are they going to undergo the quantum jump, the phenomenon we are all curios about? Or, is it going to alter the isotopes and isobars?

Good question.

To be honest, no one is sure. We're not that sure as to what's going to happen, for nothing can be said about the nature of the quantum particles, as they are very unpredictable, and that's what makes them fantastic to study, you know.

Well, quantum jump may well be very logical, we might see new states evolving, and new quantum particles getting developed. But it requires further research work.
