No. of toffee brought by Rupal = 180
let's say total no. of toffee brought by her (fraction) is 4/4
toffee distributed in class VI A = 1/2 or
1/2 × 2/2
= 2/4 of total toffee
180 × 2/4 = 90 toffee
toffee distributed in class VI B = 1/4 of total toffee
180 × 1/4 = 45 toffee
Fraction of toffee left with her = total fraction - (fraction of class A + fraction of class B)
= 4/4 - (2/4 + 1/4)
= 4/4 - 3/4
= 1/4
No. of Toffee left with her = 180 - 1/4 of 180
or 180 - 90 - 45
= 45 Toffee
