बाद में उन्होंने अपने संकल्प को पूरा किया और बड़े होकर वकालत पास की तथा भारत की आजादी के बाद भारत के कानून मंत्री भी बने। उन्होंने भारत के संविधान की रचना में भी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई।
