Answer:
Always have been a great fan of Bond Sir. I had read Delhi is not far, when the night falls( compilation of many paranormal Stories by different authors)and many other but then I thought of reading Ruskin Bond's first novel, The Room on the roof. It was in sooth a real treat to read this book. The book has its own blandish. The simple yet powerful words transfers one to the Room on the roof. The description is just so vivid and lively. I'm in paucity of words to describe the sedate, peaceful and welcome feeling I had felt while reading this book.
Worth buying and reading !The Room on the Roof is such a beautiful novel, it is worth reading it. The descriptions are so vivid that you can imagine it out and visualize everything. I just loved it. Its a very good book that teaches various life lessons and also it is great way of increasing vocabulary and even a great way of spending a boring day. If there is one name that is synonymous with children's Indian literature, its Ruskin Bond. This book is the deteriorating condition of orphans in the society. Being orphan means independent but at the same time one has to struggle hard for basic things like shelter, security, food, education and so on. The Room on the Roof is one of the finest books ever penned down by this legendary writer. The narration technique is simply gorgeous. I have already read the story book for around 9 to 10 times and each time I read, I feel like I am reading it for the very first time.
