Jyotirao and Savitri Bai Phule started the first school for girls in 1848 and gradually they opened 18 schools.
It is said that when Savitribai Phule used to go to school to educate girls, people used to throw mud, cow dung, stones and even excreta on them, Savitribai Phule used to keep a saree with her and change it after going to school. But the thing about his determination was unique.
Savitribai Phule is such an example of women's society, who shook the male-dominated society, removed the hollow foundation, presented such an image of equality, where women not only got respect and respect, but also found a new way to live a life of self-respect. It is said that at that time a terrible plague spread, Savitri Bai Phule opened a clinic to take care of the patients and while taking care of the people, she also got plague and died on March 10, 1897.
