Answer:

You get HCF by taking the Highest Common Factor from the group of numbers.

For Example:

If we want the HCF of 5 and 10,

we first take the factors of 5 and 10

factors of 5:- 1,5(1×5)

factors of 10:- 1,2,5,10(1×10,2×5)

If we look the factors, 1 and 5 are the common factors but we need is HCF .i.e., highest common factor

So, 5 is HCF from the numbers 5 and 10
